Feel the Music!NEW! WFMH's signature program, Feel the Music!, offers a rich array of culturally diverse, interactive music/art workshops and events designed to facilitate creative self-expression. Workshops are taught by renowned teaching artists and musicians who also serve as positive role models. Fun and engaging, Feel the Music! provides interactive, hands-on music and arts skills in a supportive community environment while nourishing and encouraging each individual's own creativity through songwriting, composition, performance and creation of artistic works.
We offer workshops in songwriting, singing, percussion, jazz, music technology, video production, art, individual music lessons and a concert series. Workshops are taught by renowned professional musicians and artists who love teaching.
WFMH Teaching Artist Updates: In 2006 WFMH welcomed several new teaching artists: Brazilian percussionist Dende Macedo; piano and voice teacher Brenda Earle; drum teachers Sheldon Goode and Mark McLean. We also thank rhythm section Kevin Johnson (drums) and Fred Cash (bass) who brought in the groove to our NJ songwriting group's compositions.
Winter 2005-6 WFMH welcomed teaching artists Mawuena Kodjovi, Greg Parr, Mary Lee Kortes, and Erica Von Kleist. Our original 2005 teaching artists include, Arturo O'Farrill, Bashiri Johnson, Bar Scott, and Beth and Scott Bierko and Friends. continue to give music workshops for Feel the Music!
